Eckersley is perfect for this formation and it would allow more creativity in the middle of park which means they can probably put Dunfield on the bench or play him just behind Bostock and Cesar….

Quality player that Zusi is, one wonders why he didn’t pass the ball to Sinovic in the second-last image and, no doubt in other circumstances, as well.

The players, like most of us, will possibly have taken as much satisfaction from executing a plan properly as from winning. Maybe not; but still it can be rewarding.

It will be interesting to see if Nelsen and O’Leary have done their homework on Mtl. and manage to devise a similarly effective strategy for that team. Looking forward to your analysis.
