Unbelievable season for Bayern, but as you said, there is still room for improvement. Do you feel Pep needs to strengthen things up at the back? Because frankly, I think Bayern’s defensive ( and goalscoring) record is largely down to the contributions of Neuer and the front 8 who play in front of Dante and Boateng/ Van Buyten. All three defenders are nervy when they are pressured, which may be an issue for Guardiola’s style.

And both goal keepers were exceptional. Heynckes deserves a great deal of credit for this win, but oddly seems to receive none of the glory.
